Designing the ideal brow for your individual needs
During a consultation our specialists will identify the shades that compliment your natural colourings and analyze your face shape to determine the most flattering eyebrow design for you.
Eyebrows that compliment your natural colourings
Your permanent makeup artist will normally choose an eyebrow colour one to two shades lighter than the natural colour of your eyebrow hair - unless your eyebrows are light blonde or gray - in which case she will choose a colour one shade deeper.
The aim is not to match the pigment to the colour of your eyebrows but rather to create a soft shadow of colour that compliments the natural eyebrow hair. Using this technique prevents the results being too dark.
For those people with little or no eyebrow hair we tend to use two pigment shades, infusing the colour into the skin as simulated hair strokes to create an eyebrow enhancement that gives the impression of dimension.
The perfect brow for your face shape
Unless corrective facial balancing techniques are required the guidelines below achieve the ideal eyebrow shape.

- The bulb of the eyebrow should begin where line A passes as if it was drawn straight from the nostril, through the corner of eye and upwards.
- When you are looking forward the arch of the eyebrow should be positioned between the middle of the pupil and the rim of the iris.
- The tail of the eyebrow should end where line C would pass if it were drawn from the nostril, through the outer corner of the eye and upwards.
- The tail of the eyebrow should sit level or slightly higher than the bulb of the brow as indicated in line D
Corrective facial balancing
Where corrective facial balancing techniques are required our expert permanent makeup artists will use the guidelines below to achieve the ideal eyebrow shape.
The round face shape is considered to be lacking angles.

The round face will look less rounded with an angled eyebrow that has an elevated arch - as in the images showing the average eyebrow and the angled eyebrow.
Round flat eyebrows will make the face appear shorter and wider.
The square face shape is considered to be an angular face shape.

A brow with a defined arch - as in the sharp arched eyebrow and the smooth arched eyebrow draws attention to the eyebrow and away from the square jaw line.
Smooth flat eyebrows contribute to the boxy look of a square face shape.
The heart face shape is considered to be wide across the forehead.

The heart shaped face requires a smooth angled eyebrow to compliment the shape of the face.
Flat smooth eyebrows will have the effect of widening the upper face making it look even more triangular and a sharp angled eyebrow will have the effect of emphasizing the angle of the chin.
The diamond face shape is considered to be wide across the cheek bone region.

A defined eyebrow arch draws attention away from the wide mid face - as in the images showing the smooth angled eyebrow and the sharp angled eyebrow.
Flat low eyebrows direct the eye side to side making the width of the mid face more noticeable.
A long face shape is considered to be a narrow face shape.

Flat smooth eyebrows direct the eye side to side adding width to the long face.
High angled eyebrows - as in the images showing the sharp angled eyebrow and the average eyebrow will make the eyes travel higher up the face which lengthens the face.
The oval face shape is considered to be the classical symmetric face shape.

The oval face is considered balanced, and works well with about any eyebrow style.
